AS WE reported in November, although the Department of Lands and Surveys revised its fees and charges earlier in the year, a list of those charges had yet to be published.
Yesterday, the Department published a comprehensive 6 page leaflet detailing the revised Land Registry fees and charges for the services it provides:
The leaflet is also available from our Free Publications area and should be used to replace the Index of Fees and Charges provided on pages 75 to 80 of the Department of Lands and Surveys Citizen’s Charter.

Please note that there have been significant increases in many of the charges levied.
My husband and myself love Cyprus but getting very annoyed that the Cypriots seem to want to rip us Brits off. It seems a lot of the people in Cyprus are only after one thing, trying to make money from their own mistakes.
@Andrew – if you wish to find out whether the developer has mortgaged the land, the same process applies in Cyprus as it does in the UK:
You’ll need a request the Land Registry to carry out a search – see Title Search Procedure. The charges for various search certificates are shown on page 3 of the leaflet above.
I don’t see the charge for withholding the fact (at the time you lodge your sales contract), that your developer has already mortgaged the land where you intend to build your house. Oh I forget, that this service is free from Land Registry.
